In an effort to streamline meeting set up and eliminate last-minute issues with technology, please email a copy of the guest's presentation to Spencer Niebur prior to the meeting. Randy will load the presentation on his laptop so the guest speaker doesn't have to worry about technology the day of the meeting. Guests can bring their own laptop if they insist but we prefer to have the presentations in advance. Thank you.
As we have seen, the devastation is great and is growing. The communities effected will need incredible resources to recover. Because of the widespread devastation already seen, the needs of those impacted will far exceed existing resources. Many have asked how we can Make a Difference. As you may or may not know, District 6250 has a Charitable Trust. This is a foundation that will allow you to make a tax deductible contribution that will be sent to the Rotary District(s) heading the relief efforts in Texas and effected areas. 100% of your contribution will go to those that truly need it.

The 2017 production will feature all new stories and content, including a look at one of La Crosse’s greatest unsolved mysteries: the disappearance of Evelyn Hartley, a local teenager who went missing without a trace on October 24, 1953. Archivists from the La Crosse Public Library will be sharing details from this chilling tale, from the days leading up to Hartley’s disappearance to the massive manhunt and media frenzy that followed. Other stories in this new 2017 Dark La Crosse production will include an unbelievable 1920’s jailbreak, a 1940’s murder of a local doctor, and a comprehensive look at the prohibition era in the Coulee Region, from bootleggers, to speakeasies, to police raids.

Attention all new Rotarians - or anyone who wants to learn more about Rotary! New Rotarians meet over breakfast six times per year to learn more about various Rotary topics.
We meet for breakfast only six times during the year and you may receive a make-up for attending these sessions. We intend to provide programs on the Five Avenues of Service, The Rotary Foundation and the Rotary Works Foundation, along with other aspects of Rotary. Each of you is expected to attend the next six meetings following your orientation. All new Rotarians are considered a member of STAR for their first year.
We meet on the second Thursday of the following months: January, March, May, July, September and November. The meeting is at 7:00 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel 200 Harborview Plaza, La Crosse. A complimentary breakfast will be served.
