When 3,000 volunteers and over 3 million lights come together, it’s a magical thing. In this episode, Jake goes behind-the-scenes with Rotary Lights volunteers to learn what it takes to put the show on each and every year. Mariah explores holiday light show bliss including live music, hay rides, breakfast with Santa, live reindeer, carriage rides, a 5k Ugly Sweater Run and so much more. With a mission of feeding the hungry in the Coulee Region, volunteers and visitors alike have been making spirits bright for over two decades.

Kathi Millard, Pat Stephens, Elaine Yager, Tom Mickelson and Bob Allen help Global Partners pack for a trip to Nicaragua.
Global Partners aims to improve the overall health of the people and their communities in the Matagalpa region of Nicaragua by helping communities secure adequate nutrition, a clean water supply and safe housing.  Part of their visit in November will provide comprehensive eye exams and glasses as appropriate to rural Nicaraguan populations who do not have access to this level of care.
Rotary East has supported Global Partners in a variety of ways.   In fact, several Rotary East members have traveled to Nicaragua in the past.   Tom Mickelson...pictured above...will be representing East on this trip.

Bill La Rue and Teri Wildt
Bill and Teri were acknowledged as Rotarians of the Year at the Avenue of Services Banquet in Caledonia on August 18th.  Congratulations!
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented Dirk Gasterland.   Dirk has been a member of Rotary East for almost 25 years.
Rotary East also received the Community Service Club of the Year Award for our continued support and work at the Chad Erickson Memorial Park.
